Clovis
![]()
Ah Clovis. My band. Now defunct but maybe making a comeback. Homage to the late great Gil Elvgren. Take one part Wilco, one part Drive by Truckers and two parts a Saturday bender and you have Clovis. By far one of my favorite layouts. Something about the wild west meets south Alabama just hits you in the soul.

Turkish Disco

An “in the works” Wordpress theme. The name was inspired by Fugazi, one of the best American bands to ever grace us with their presence. A compliant and colorful theme that will go live soon.

Tugbucket Air Assault
![]()
Style sheet switching became what this idea was about. My love of WWII aircraft made it what it is. A pretty simple site suited for blogging at least. As an avid player of “Axis & Allies”, I just couldn’t help having Italy represented. Their lack of representation in the game is sad. I digress. A few nice fonts I wanted to use and a few nice pictures as well. That’s “Air Assault”.

Tugbucket Haywire
![]()
An experiment in fixed positioning. The outcome was more than I has originally planned but I like it a lot. There is a good bit of “funny stuff” going on underneath the hood, but it works in IE6+ and all the other nice browsers. It wasn’t meant to be a map in the background but many people thought that’s what it was so be it. It has it’s down falls as far as usability but none the less, I like it.

Tugbucket Giant Robo
![]()
Giant Robo was real fun to make. It’s short coming is the 200k header image but that really makes it. It’s big, clunky, bright and fun. that’s what it all should be about.

Tugbucket Green Leaves
![]()
More of a departure for me than any layout so far. Clean, bright and real image light. It almost became the current Tugbucket theme.

Tugbucket Bath Edition
![]()
This was my first attempt at an almost fluid layout. The imagery was said by some to be slightly disturbing. It’s me shaving. We all shave. Thus is Tugbucket “Bath”.

Ian’s 30th Birthday Bash
![]()
Some people turn 30 and have a mellow evening reminiscing about their last 29 years on Earth. Other rent a bar, a band and invite a city to help usher in the next 30. Hat’s off to one of my best friends Ian. Happy getting old day.

Phil Throttle & the Pull Starts
![]()
Sample poster for a little Mobile, Alabama band. Real nice guys and some good tunes. If your into alt-country, country and country esque and your in town, you should really check them out. Dwight Yoakam cover songs are a nice finish to a long Friday night.
Riverboat Gamblers T-Shirt
![]()
An entry into the Riverboat Gamblers t-shirt contest. I didn’t win, but it was fun to make something different from all the rest of the shirts they have.

CD Cover Design
![]()
A CD cover made for a mix tape swap. The group involved all made tapes of their favorite music from a selected genre. I chose Alt-Country. Thought a train barreling down the track was fitting since I had more than a fair share of Old 97’s on it.
That Mashed-up Photoshop Collage Effect
![]()
A question was raised on a forum I frequent of how to do the effect seen all over the web, print and television. I jumped at the opportunity to give a helping hand. This was the result. About 20 minutes in Photoshop and a small tutorial. The original poster used the technique to his liking.
